10 Online Tools for Web Developers
If you are a web designer or developer you may need to use some tool, which will make your life easier. I use these tools and I’m very satisfied with them. There are a big time saver and each one is online based, so you don’t need to install any software to your pc.
With AjaxLoad, you can customize and create your own loading image. It’s very simple to use: choose the animated picture, choose a background color or set it transparent, choose the image color and download it.
You may have a logo design job and need a custom and unique font for your project. This tool is an online based font editor which allows you to create and customize fonts. The tool can be used only by registered users, but the registration does not take more than 5 minutes.
Do you have a headache when it’s come to create and style a dorp-down css menu? IzzyMenu will help you to design your menus in no time. This tool also require registration.
Have you been searching for a website into your bookmarks, but did not found it? It’s much more easier to find a bookmarked website if that has a cool and personalized favicon. GenFavicon it’s an online tool, which convert images to ico files.
With the StripMani tool, you can save a lot of time. With this great tool you can create very easy a snipped background image and style it for your needs.
I’m using StripGenerator very ofter to make some nice backgrounds. This is almost the same as StripeMania, but has some other features, like more snipe orientation, gradient height. You may use both of them, because you never know what you need.
How to make a css template to have an organized layout? The 960 grid system is the best way to make your templates. This tool will generate this css file, and you may just use it.
After I make a template, I’m testing it with different browsers: FireFox, Internet Explorer, Chrome, Opera and Safari. I believe that these are the major web browsers, but what about the rest? If you want to have a template which is compatible with much more browsers, you may try out the BrowserShots tool.
ColorHunter is a great tool, which can generate a color palette from an uploaded image. For example: a client is sending you a logo and asking for a design, which has the same colors. What should you do? Upload the logo to this tool and voila, the color palette is there.
The most used tool by me is the following one. I love this tool, because it’s very complex in creating all kind of color schemes, it has several options. You can choose set up the brightness, saturation, color lights and certainly you can see a preview of a light and dark template.
